Tony Macaroni opens new restaurant at Marischal Square
Fast growing Italian restaurant Tony Macaroni is the latest addition to the list of top quality eateries to begin trading at Aberdeen’s prestigious Marischal Square development in the heart of the city centre.
The new 155-seat restaurant officially opened this weekend and became the 15th in the Tony Macaroni family serving the brand’s award-winning, authentic Italian cuisine featuring a state of the art, Italian made, Marana Forni wood fired pizza oven.
More than 30 jobs will be created as Tony Macaroni joins All Bar One, Prezzo, Mackie’s and Costa at Marischal Square. The £107million city centre regeneration development is already a popular new addition to the city’s dining and social scene as well as offering a vibrant new civic space.

Aberdeen City Council Co-Leader Councillor Jenny Laing, welcomed the opening of Tony Macaroni to Marischal Square.
She said: “It’s great to hear the new Tony Macaroni in Marischal Square will be welcoming its first customers very soon and we wish them every success.
“We are delighted Tony Macaroni’s have chosen to open their first restaurant in the north-east in Marischal Square as it is not only a great endorsement for the development but it also brings additional jobs and investment right into of the heart of the city centre.”

Marischal Square will deliver an economic boost to the immediate area from enhanced footfall and more people working and using leisure facilities. The development includes two city centre office buildings providing 177,000 sq ft of Grade ‘A’ office space with secure parking, seven restaurants and café bars occupying the ground floor space and a 126-room Residence Inn by Marriott.
Businesses RBS and Aberdeen Journals are expected to be fully operational in new Grade ‘A’ office accommodation in coming weeks.
