Slough Urban Renewal’s Novus Apartments achieves practical completion
Slough Urban Renewal’s (SUR) Novus Apartments completed recently, over six weeks early! The joint venture’s latest development is an impressive collection of studio, one and two-bedroom apartments in the heart of Slough town centre, with homes currently available for sale.
The homes form part of SUR’s wider transformation of the former library site, delivering a new destination, with a mix of high-quality homes, alongside retail and leisure facilities.
SUR - a joint venture partnership between Slough Borough Council and national urban regenerator, Muse Developments - has delivered this high-quality scheme, with Morgan Sindall Construction appointed as its main contractor.
Sat alongside Novus Apartments, is the UK’s first Moxy and Residence Inn double-decker hotel. The 244-room hotel complex forms part of this major development transforming Slough’s former library site into a vibrant hub, right in the heart of the town.
Designed by Franklin Ellis Architects, the development is perfectly positioned for the town’s excellent transport links. Homes at Novus Apartments provide the ideal opportunity to take advantage of the changing face of Slough and major regeneration which is already underway. Significantly improved education and enhanced leisure facilities are already in place, plans to revitalise the shopping centre continue apace and new transport infrastructure is all adding to the desirability of this rapidly changing town.
Andy Howell, general manager at Slough Urban Renewal, said: “It’s thanks to a huge team effort that Novus Apartments has reached practical completion; the council, Cycas Hospitality, Morgan Sindall Construction and the development management team have worked hard to make this whole development a success.”
