Local school children visit Vimto Gardens
Pupils from St Philips C of E Primary School had a lesson in marketing when they visited the newly-launched Vimto Gardens townhouses and apartments.
The year fives enjoyed a master class in all things property development, from planning through to sales, for the new development, which is directly opposite their school. They also got the chance to try their hand at designing posters to market the homes.
Teacher Beth Morgans said: “We’ve watched the development grow into an unmissable part of Chapel Street over the last school year, so it has been really interesting for the children to learn about the back story and understand how the new homes have come to be there. They loved finding out more about the history of the site and especially liked coming up with creative posters to advertise the homes.”
Hollie Reynolds, residential sales and marketing manager at developer, English Cities fund, gave the class a history of the site and development. English Cities fund is a joint venture between Muse Developments, Legal & General Property and the Homes and Communities agency (HCA).
She said: “Chapel Street’s got a very rich heritage and we’re proud to be part of its future. It’s been great to see the children from St Philips C of E Primary School be so engaged with the development and wanting to learn more about the area where they live.”
The Vimto Gardens development officially went on sale earlier this month, with the first homes due to be ready to move into by Christmas. Already being dubbed Salford’s newest and coolest residential development, the striking properties are set to thrust life back into the heart of the city when they are completed.
Based on Chapel Street, just metres along from the world-renowned purple soft drink’s original factory site, the development takes its name from the much-loved brand.
The six-storey luxury residential building features an internal private courtyard on the first floor, as well as retail and commercial units on the ground floor, making Vimto Gardens a real hub of the community.
