With its own junction on the M8 and a location 11 miles east of Glasgow and 31 miles west of Edinburgh, the site provides direct access to the national motorway network. Less than 30 minutes’ drive from the country’s two major airports and with an on-site rail freight terminal, Eurocentral is a gateway to the rest of the UK and Europe. Part of the Eurocentral site is designated Enterprise Zone Land.
Through Eurocentral Partnership Limited (EPL), its JV partnership with Scottish Enterprise, Muse has been an integral player at Eurocentral since 1995 and has developed nearly 2 million sq ft of distribution and warehousing facilities, in the process establishing a reputation for the delivery of bespoke facilities on time and within budget.
In 2010 Muse commenced a 390,208 sq ft programme of speculative development at the park, investing £54.2 million in the development of seven highly-specified distribution/ production units, all to BREEAM ‘Very Good’.
The Plot F buildings – Zenith, Pinnacle, Vertex and Apex and a range of units on Plot B created to meet demand from smaller operators - are the most sustainable and energy-efficient industrial buildings developed speculatively to date in Scotland.
A flexible masterplan provided sites for small, medium, large and extra-large sized units.
The completion of an ‘advance build’ programme brought Muse’s total investment at the park to £147 million.
